Fashion Police | May 9, 2006 11:44AM What a portrait Kamyar! This guy really likes his mullahs, doesn't he?
Kamyar| May 9, 2006 4:27PM He certainly does Fashion police. This is one of the characters I thought I would never be able to take the picture of but he was very nice and surprisingly friendly. He let me inside the bakery and said that I could take a picture of anything I wanted.
armeen| May 9, 2006 5:34PM what a contrast between the posters! is that tin-tin poster on the top!?
Hugh Petrie| May 9, 2006 8:19PM I am left wondering the degree to which this gentleman is simply being politically wise by having all the ayatollahs on the wall with the president.
I am reminded of a comment by a Moslem friend from Mumbai who pointed out how just because thousands would go to listen to a guru speak didn't mean they believed what he said.
'Tis a treacherous world we are in.
Kamyar| May 10, 2006 7:01AM I see what you mean Armeen; the layout of the poster is like a comic book. But those pictures are of martyrs of Iran and Iraq war.
wvs| May 11, 2006 2:49PM man, your photos from iran are just amazing Kamyar. this is a classic portrait and should be printed in a book.
Maziar Adl | May 16, 2006 3:54PM Great photo, brings about a memory or two.
And Hugh, right or wrong, he means it, and its by choice. There is no need for him to hang those pictures on the wall. I wish I could tell you my version of why I think he has done it. But its not time and the place. It goes deep deep deep. Need to talk for an hour to show you why.
