Fashion Police | May 26, 2006 7:11AM Wow what a portrait!
One thing about these rugs baffles me though. would it not be rude to lay these rugs (that I’m guessing) carry the portrait of a religious figure on them, on the floor and walk on them?
Ali | May 26, 2006 9:36AM What a great picture! I didn't know Emam Ali wore lipstick ;-)
Hugh Petrie| May 26, 2006 11:36AM I like Ali's comment on lipstick. It's a portrait odditiy I see in many images of presumed holy men or special persons. It's almost like the need in the film industry to "lipstick" everyone since the lighting bleaches and shifts color. So I suppose we chalk this up to show business? Or is the rug maker just not that good at color?
Striking photo, however.
Tima | May 26, 2006 2:55PM Fashion Police ... these type of rugs usually are hung on the wall like a painting.
Kamyar| May 26, 2006 3:29PM I didn’t know that either Ali!!!
